About this shelf
These are the only frames on the site that are not sunglasses. The lenses are tinted rather than darkened, which is the whole point once the sun is down: a tint takes the hard white edge off oncoming headlights while leaving the road itself readable, where a dark lens would simply remove both. 23 of the 39 styles here are fit-over shapes, cut wide and deep enough to go on over prescription glasses instead of replacing them, and 11 are wrap-arounds that carry the tint out to the edge of vision as well as straight ahead. Only 4 styles in this group carry polarized film, because polarization is a daylight tool and does nothing for you at midnight. Prices run $7.48 to $38.69. These are a comfort aid for glare, not a correction for eyesight, and they do not replace a pair of prescription lenses or an eye test.
