Who is behind the hex

We are KALIYADI, a sunglasses maker working out of San Diego, CA. The hex in the question is our mark: the faceted lens shape you will find on our packaging and at the top of this page. Our motto is longer than our product brief: quality multiplied, more pairs, more moments. The brief itself is one line. Make the polarized lens cheap enough that owning several pairs is normal.

What we make

48 styles at the moment, split across three shelves: the classic squares and aviators that do the everyday work, the round metals and decorated frames that get picked for the outfit, and the sport wraps with youth sizes for roughly ages six to fourteen. 45 styles carry polarizing film; every lens in the range is UV400. 10 styles ship as multipacks, because a spare pair in the car door is our favourite product feature and it is not even on the frame.

What this site is

Our catalogue, kept by us. Every pair we currently make is on it, with photos, current price, the public rating from the retail listing, and our own notes on what the pair does well. The field notes section holds the longer explanations: what polarization is, what UV400 measures, which frame suits which face.

What this site is not

A store. There is no cart and no checkout here. The buy button on each pair hands you to our retail partner, who handles payment, delivery and returns on their side, under their policies, in your existing account there. We chose that split deliberately: they are better at logistics than a sunglasses company will ever be, and it lets us spend our effort on the frames and the catalogue.
